the bride

So my cousin got married a few weeks ago, and we were charged with doing the wedding photography. We went all out and even took some pictures on film!
This is one of the film pictures, which we developed and printed ourselves. No matter how many times I see it it never fails to enchant me seeing an image come into existence in the developer.
So, I’ve missed a few crops, but Maria was good enough to keep the kits back for me. Here I’ve used Crate Paper Mia, with doodlebug alpha stickers and bazzill bling.

tranquility base

I’ve hardly bought any stash in ages, except my crop kits (and regular fix of double sided tape), because I find with Maria’s crop kits there are more than enough leftovers to keep me entertained for a while.
Here I used leftover Crate Paper lemongrass, with DCWV rub on stitches and adornit mini letters, for a really quick simple page.

seaton sluice all day crop - inspire me

This was the last of the classes Maria taught at the first Seaton Sluice all day crop.
I was really looking forward to this class, because I was loving these Crate Paper lemongrass papers. Maria did the mini book as a book of inspiration for us scrappers, leaving places for stash wants, sketches, to do lists, notes and blogs. It was a really fun class to do, although I had to finish it at home (despite Maria being a task master :o)

scrummy song scraps

Vanessa’s class over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week was to help us use up our scraps.
After last weeks challenge I had a few song titles going around my head, so I combined the two, mixing ‘time in a bottle’ a song I know from the Muppets, with scraps left from the Seaton Sluice all day crop (which was amazing) run by Maria.
The papers are Daisy Bucket, I also used Doodlebug alphas, gems and pearls and some American Crafts ribbon.

seaton sluice all day crop - 2009

This was the first of the classes Maria taught at the first Seaton Sluice all day crop.
The day was amazing, and Maria chose these beautiful Daisy Bucket papers. Typically, I had to do it a different sized to that prescribed.
I loved this class because it features my favorite scrapping thing - a bird. The ribbon is attached to a little booklet where I have some hidden journalling for the year ahead.

scrummy song

Samm’s challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week was to use our favorite song.
Be My Yoko Ono by The Barenaked Ladies is right up there for me, and although it is not romantic or vomitty it is ‘our’ song.
I tried to channel the artistic crazyness of Yoko Ono, and I used the SSC May kit, Maya Road chipboard trees, American Craft ribbon and chipboard jewelry box thickers, DCWV rub on doodles, buttons of unknown origin, adornit little letters, a WRML eyelet and loads of bling. It’s a really busy layout for me, but I did have fun :)

scrummy difference

Rachel provided the class this week over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog.
I’ve used my prize from the SSC cybercrop, along with some DCWV chipboard shapes, DCWV rub on doodles. MM letter stickers, prima fabric flower, PM brads and Anchor embroidery thread, and lasting impressions ribbon. Another mock polaroid from me...

scrummy sketch

Angie provided us with a sketch for her challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week.
I’ve used BG archaic (papers, cardstock stickers, cardstock letter stickers, glazed brads and chipboard) and some cute adorn it letter stickers too. I distressed using Stampin’ Up Chocolate Chip ink and doodled using my trusty steadler pens.

special wedding

A few weeks ago I was making wedding invitations,  and this was my card to send to the happy couple. I based it on the invitation.
I used the SU stamps sets, French Flair and Carte Postal, and an Anna Griffin stamped message. The ink and card were SU chocolate chip, and the light brown was kraft card. The ribbon was American Crafts and the card was lined with a vellum insert.
So this is my card for a new SU challenge blog, check it out...

scrummy scraps

Maria’s class over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog was to create something using a sketch and your scraps.
I used the very last scraps of my 6x6 BG Pheobe pad, cute little Adornit letter stickers, and MM glitter stickers, a Maya Road chipboard butterfly and a few other scraps.

scrummy grid

Karen’s challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog was to create something with a grid or check pattern on it. I started two layouts and so I show both.
Doodlebug cardstock and brads.

scrummy check

Karen’s challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog was to create something with a grid or check pattern on it. So I experimented with cutting up a photo to highlight the interesting bits.
AC Simply Chic Papers (from an age ago and I still love the colours), AC eggnog foam thickers, and DCWV rub on doodles.
