I cut scraps of the paper collection using quickutz and sizzle dies and made this fun cheery card

The first card adds dies from Mama Elephant (banner, femme frames), Sizzix (circle and scalloped circle) & Lawn Fawn (hearts, puffy stars, stitched rectangles), as well as coloured paper scraps :) I think it sets the paper off quite well :)

The gold trend continues, and I'm really getting down to the scraps of the papers, I've dug out the Martha Stewart butterfly punches, but another card that isn't quite right for me.

I treated myself to some sizzix doodlebug stamps and dies over christmas, but I have to say that I"m quite disappointed in them, they do not stamp near as nicely as I have become used to with my Lawn Fawn stamps, it is a shame as I love doodlebug and I bought too sets (this baby boy set and a set with houses), but I won't be buying any more...

Dead chuffed with this one, especially as it is made entirely of scraps :), I don't know if I'll ever finish the American Crafts simply chic papers, but I keep on chipping away at it.

dcwv birthday stack - the road goes ever on and on

Here again I've taken the 8x8 card stock and cut it down to make a card measuring 4 x 5.5".  This leaves me with a strip 2.5" wide which is perfect for either cutting little strips or die cutting bits from.

Since this paper is a little on the busy side I wanted any image to be quite bold and graphic, so this Sizzlits present (the first die I ever bought) was perfect for the job. This was such a quick card to put together even with the layering of the die cut, that I did the whole thing in less than 10 minutes... I then spent the next half hour cutting everything in order to make a few copies of this card for my mum to make.

Apologies for the complete lack of updates of late, my life should be getting back to normal after a new job, a new house (as well as moving for a short term waiting to get into the house) and general chaos associated with such a big move. I am now starting to get settled again, and am relishing every moment of crafting I get to relax.

Over on UKS the monthly challenge was to use pink, orange or red as the predominate colour on a card. I used Tinkering Ink papers, along with some Bazzill scraps, the Quickutz bird die, and Sizzix Hello with Bird die. Thought I’d give the acetate a go.

Maria did a really great class on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog this week. She used a mask for painting and some sewing and other bits.

I used Chatterbox papers, left over from July’s crop, Adornit tiny etched natural letters (which I have completely fallen in love with), Doodlebug lily white simply sweet cardstock stickers. DCWV adhesive cardstock and a Sizzix home sweet home die to cut the tree.

It continues to rain, but I can’t see the silver lining in that...

I was browsing some online shops the other day and I spotted a challenge to make a male card on the Dies to Die For blog. They also reminded us about the impending prospect of father’s day so I made this little number...

Everything is Doodlebug! Blue Jean stitched grosgrain ribbon, Blue Jean triplets vellum, Bazzill in Bubble Blue, Blue Bell and Blue Jean. The message was stamped in Staz-On using my much loved Karen Forster snap stamps.
