on your wedding day

Poundland had some great rub-ons and as usual I got carried away with how much stuff I needed.

The church rub on was attached centrally to a piece of white Bazzill measuring 5 x 8 cm. This was layered onto doodlebug bazill card stock sandcastle and bon-bon 5.5 x 8.5 cm and 6 x 9 cm respectively.

A 10.5 x 15 cm card was scattered with hearts cut from doodlebug bazzill ‘tickled pink’ card stock using the folk mini die from Quickutz.

The church was stuck onto the card at the centre top using 3d foam. Beneath this the message ‘On your wedding day’ was rubbed-on to finish the card.

post christmas thanks

A standard white 15 x 10.5 cm card was covered in a 13 x 8.5 cm piece of doodlebug paper ‘Perfectly Purple Stripes’.

The word ‘Thanks’ was cut using the sunshine alphabet from Quickutz from ‘lilac’ piece of bazill (doodlebug range) and stuck onto a  Lily White bazzill rectangle measuring 8 x 2.5 cm. This was then matted onto a piece of Swimming Pool bazzill cardstock 0.5 cm bigger on each edge, and then onto Lilac bazzill a further 0.5 cm bigger.

Onto the back of this double sided tape was stuck around the edges and marabou feathers, trimmed off the central quill were stuck to the edges. Another layer of double sided tape was then stuck onto the card and placed centrally on the striped paper.

On another note I have to thank Andrew for the light tent which has greatly improved the presentation of my photography, it was a Christmas present but in the excitement of pre-holidays I have had to back date a couple of posts.

happy birthday spots

Circles of 3 sizes (approx. 2”, 1 1/2” and 3/4”) were cut from red, orange and yellow card. These weere placed randomly over an A6 sized card.

Letters spelling ‘Happy Birthday’ were cut in black using the now retired Quickutz Sunshine alphabet. These were stuck centrally onto the card.

Finally a black ‘stitch’ border was drawn on 1/4” from the edges of the card.

prima flower card

Another card for my gran so lots of glitz.

An A6 size card was covered in Prima flowers with yellow ‘gem’ centers except a central area which was left clear for a message.

The message was matted onto complementary colours and raised up on 3D foam when it was attached to the card.

Over the top? Yes, but why not.

christmas snowflake

I really like this card but it did take a long time to make.

A 2”, 1 1/2” and 1” strip was cut from Doodlebug Bazill cardstock ‘Bubble Blue’, ‘Blue Bell’ and ‘Blue Jean’ respectively. These were overlapped slightly and stuck together to form a card front 4” wide and this was cut to a height of 5 1/2”.

A 1 1/2” wide ribbon with a blue gradient colour (purchased from ‘Marks and Spencer’ was wrapped around this card and attached with the darker colour towards the top about 1” from the top of the card.

Six sections of the Quickutz snowflake die (RS0386) were cut using ‘Lily White’ Bazill  card and were attached together using a small white brad, which was used to attache the assembly to the card towards the right hand side near the bottom of the ribbon.

The letters for ‘Merry Christmas’ were cut again out of ‘Lily White’ Bazill using the retired ‘Snow Angel’ alphabet again from Quickutz. This was stuck in the lower left hand corner.

The whole section was then placed on top of a card measuring 4” by 5 1/2”.
