surprise....

There was something about this cutie popping out of the box with all of the confetti (ok sequins) exploding out around him that just makes me smile... I've used the highlight in prismacolour over copic technique again and love how this card turned out.

toucan do things better

Ok, yes I ****** up I dropped the Misti and I double stamped the purple dots, but it's not bad is it?

I was actually quite pleased with my new Avery Elle Stamps.

only two years late...

I shared this on instagram ages ago and didn't manage to share it here on my blog and so here it is...

Lawn Fawn winter bunny coloured in copics with a winter llama sentiment with a distress ink sky. The silver splashes are a distress stain spray.

an excuse to buy stamps

looking around at what other people are doing I'm seeing a lot of people detailing their copic colouring with their prismacolor pencils, and so I thought I'd give it a go on this little cutie

I have specifically bought this stamp to make my valentine's card, but he has exchangeable sentiments so I'm sure you will see him again (otherwise it was a really expensive valentines card

the background is a hero arts stamp set with the little hearts each stamped randomly

in all I'm quite pleased with my colouring efforts, especially around the ears, but I'm most pleased that I used enamel accents for the nose without ruining it before they enamel accents dried

Still loving all of my under the sea sets from lawn fawn... and even managing white highlights to give my cuties some dimension

birthday fishes

another mixed sentiment from lawn fawn - I've taken a pair of scissors to the 'best fishes' sentiment to make it easier to stamp - only lawn fawn on this one

haven't I seen that before?

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted a card because I've been busy sewing and mending, but I liked the previous card so much I tried to emulate it here in other colours, I used the MFT inks from cube set 16 (I love ink cubes so much, so many colours in such a little space) Persimmon, Spearmint, and Lemon Chiffon.

The dies are again Hero Arts with a die from Mama Elephant. This time I didn't have the perfect colour and so I coloured some silver glitter with a comic marker.

christmas in february

In a (almost certainly vain) attempt to avoid a panic near christmas I've been trying to make a card or two on the 25th of every month... this month I missed (by a day) but managed to put together this clean and simple  lawn fawn number.

green skinned monster

I coloured this cutie from Jessa Feig - Useless Trinkets - a while ago, but today he made it into a card.

I used a scrap of Sassafass paper, a Lawn Fawn stamp and Simon Says Stamp sentiment (now that is a lot of alliteration)

be very very quiet

I couldn't resist these ninja cuties from Mama Elephant, and the splatter background was such a fun way to set it off.

The little sequin confetti is from Pretty Pink Posh

just like the first time

This was my very first rubber stamp bought for cardmaking a long time ago, I'd had others as a kid, but this one was specifically bought for card making. I had fun colouring it and it bought back the memories of all of the times I coloured it before.

purrfect

This year's valentine's uses this cutie from Mama Elephant coloured in comics - it's kind of like me and my husband because he is more than a foot taller than I.

totally tropical

When you find a pink tropical print card you just have to pair it with a flamingo.

setting myself up for failure

I always try and get ahead with christmas cards, and make a reasonable start in january and february but never seem to be able to actually stick to it - here is this year's vain effort.
