christmas wreath
Using up all of my scraps of Neenah solar white by stamping flowers and leaves from Lawn Fawn Penelope's Blossom stamp set - also loving the the tone on tone background stamp from MFT .
The sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh and it just wraps up a simple card.

glitter is awesome
sometimes when you have a patterned paper the card you make with it just has to be simple, this DCWV rockstar paper is one of those cases, so I've just used a simple neat & tangled die and a simple avery elle stamp set finish the card

bright, but also blending in
more lawn fawn snowflakes, but that bright is just double sided tape cut and covered with glitter for this really subtle look
Wednesday, 22 November 2017
purple, rhymes with murple
another christmas card, and more tone on tone stamping, but this time it has been lots of smaller stamps, everything is lawn fawn
Tuesday, 21 November 2017
remember that promise...
despite my best intentions to keep up with my christmas cards I've done nothing since february... now the rush begins
using another of the winnie & walter dies stamped tone on tone with an mft stamp, the snowflakes are lawn fawn

turn this about
more use of my lawn fawn cube inks on this card and I am loving this turnabout thing from concord & 9th, this is one of the most innovative things I've seen in card making in years and feel it is likely not going to be my only stamp set of theirs

splats intended
making the most of all of those coloured ink pads I've gathered over the last year and using this fun ink splat card from wplus9 - with cards like this I positively feel adventurous

clearly channelling being tipsy when you see just how wonky my wine bottle is, but these fun stamps are from a new company called hefty doodle who I supported through kickstarter
I've even used an action wobbler and googly eyes <3

bad light, naughty light
sorry about the bad photo, but there was just a few minutes for me to get my completed card entered to Birka's birthday blog hop... it required pink!!!
MFT zig zag die and SSS sentiment is the key to a fun card.

tesselate is such a pleasing word
more use of those card scraps I refuse to throw away, this time a clean and simple card with a sentiment from wplus9

friends from down under
These are images I coloured so long ago I fussy cut them because it was before I had the matching die... it also means they were coloured in promarkers (and not my more usual copics) because it was before I even bought my first comic marker...

never throw a scrap away
I adore these Winnie & Walter 'in a word' dies - fun and graphic, perfect when combined with my scraps background. The finishing touch is a few papermania gems
Wednesday, 6 September 2017
and now for something completely different...
this is really not my usual style, but it was fun messing with distress inks and the centre of the flower glazed in nuvo jewel drops

cat in the box
Pushing myself with some new colouring sets and stamps from neat and tangled, a company I haven't got many stamp sets from, but there was something about this cutie I couldn't resist, and since it is the daily marker 30 day colouring challenge I did one of those 'colour everything and photograph it on the stamp set things' that I see and like so much.
The pop up is a lawn fawn die

can an octopus feel embarrassed?
Still loving all of my under the sea sets from lawn fawn... and even managing white highlights to give my cuties some dimension

peekaboo... would you have guessed it?
Another day, another lavender bag, I've used some multi medium matt to hold down some of the smaller segments, something I haven't tried before. The cat was partially die cut so that I could have enough felt so he was peeking in from the bottom corner.

birthday fishes
another mixed sentiment from lawn fawn - I've taken a pair of scissors to the 'best fishes' sentiment to make it easier to stamp - only lawn fawn on this one

stating the obvious
another card using mostly lawn fawn critters down under, but that amazing comic book style sky is a super cute altenew set of circle stamps

Jane's birthday always calls for a space card and this year's card is extra special and is my very first pop up box card - I've even got floating objects using little bits of acetate...

my girl
I've collected many many feet of patterned papers and I'm making an effort to use at least a few of them up. These papers are from American Crafts My Girl collection.
Dies are from Lawn Fawn and MFT with a punch from Martha Stewart.

a funny feeling in my stomach
I seem to be using a lot of layering stamps recently - making the most of the quite large collection of mini ink cubes that I've accumulated. I don't feel I've done a bad job matching the colours to this dear Lizzy paper either.
All stamps are from MFT.

i wish i could fly, right up to the sky
another day, another lavender bag, this time embroidered, not bad considering most of it was done on a moving bus on my journey to and from work.
lawn fawn blue skies stamps were used as the template

you're fintastic
Another graduation card and you just have to adore this punny sentiment from lawn fawn even if I had to source it from more than one set.
Thursday, 20 July 2017
i'll have a blue heart without you
When I cut these lavender bags I use a lawn fawn square die to do so which gives me a perfect square every time. The heart I've shaped using another lawn fawn die all of the sequins are from pretty pink posh.

lavender inside
So I've been sewing with these really cute dies from mama elephant - I think they are supposed to decorate favour bags but I bought them to make lavender bags. The felt is from corrine lapierre and is a lovely wool viscose mix felt.

do i say awesome too much
Using those lawn fawn fab flowers again, and I think they look really classy with the strip of grey and a sentiment from neat and tangled.

my eyes...
This is the outcome of what happens when you find a box of LEDs and think 'I know what I could do'... the die cut is a quickutz die and the stamp wplus9.
Sunday, 28 May 2017
hello flowers
I'm still playing with my fab flowers stamps from lawn fawn and have even managed to make a card with nuvo drops without sticking my finger in the wet dots.
mostly lawn fawn, the patterned paper is from studio calico and the edge die from mama elephant.

i love my mum
My mum loves making cards as much as I do and so trying to make something and it be a secret is really difficult. This mum die cut is from docrafts not normally a brand I buy much of but this was just too cute. The butterflies are from Lawn Fawn fab flowers and the other dies from quickutz.

flutterby
The good thing about collecting lots of mini ink cubes is you can make such pretty cards.
The stamps are two sets from MFT finished with a few sparking clear sequins.
Wednesday, 24 May 2017
big toothy smile
I love how you can mix and match the lawn fawn critters, and I love the way you can gather the little background elements from the different sets.
Here I've used, critters in the arctic, fintastic friends, happy happy happy, and mermaid for you

one, ah, ah, ahhh... two, ah, ah, ah... three, ah, ah, ahhh...
A friend's little girl is 3 in a few days, so you have to have three on a card, and an impression of Count Count...

pretty
channelling my inner pretty with the lawn fawn fab flowers set again and bringing in the happy happy happy for the sentiment - simple but a satisfying little cluster.

pretty in pink
That's a lot of pink for me, but when you nee a birthday card for your mum sometimes pink is the way to go.
I used the new Lawn Fawn layering stamps Fab Flowers and Happy Happy Happy stamp set along with some Mama Elephant dies to perfect my girly masterpiece. Pretty Pink Posh sequins finish it off.

smash smash smash smash boom
It has been too long since I last posted but I've been busy knitting. Anyway, I just love the Lawn Fawn Year Seven set with this cute little piñata - I've coloured him using prismcolors and just have the highlights of these colours on the card.
I've even stamped a background using the super useful little sweet stamp set and lawn fawn ink. Finished with a couple of pretty pink posh sequins and I have a finished card.

haven't I seen that before?
It's been a couple of weeks since I posted a card because I've been busy sewing and mending, but I liked the previous card so much I tried to emulate it here in other colours, I used the MFT inks from cube set 16 (I love ink cubes so much, so many colours in such a little space) Persimmon, Spearmint, and Lemon Chiffon.
The dies are again Hero Arts with a die from Mama Elephant. This time I didn't have the perfect colour and so I coloured some silver glitter with a comic marker.

pretty colours
I love these colours - and I was quite impressed with my attempt at an ombre ink... go me!
The stamps are all hero arts from their stamp and cut range, the die cut is Mama Elephant and the finishing touch is the glitter card which came from Tiger.
