funky thanks

Dies used:
Sunshine gift set
Bottlecap die set
Daisy (5-petal)
Daisy (4-petal with stem)

A 2 cm wide ‘ribbon’ was formed using random narrow stirps of each of the colours of the card placed on top of a anchor piece (in this case the red).

This was attached near the bottom of the long edge of a 15 x 10.5 cm cream card.

Flowers were cut out of the four colours using the Quickutz dies: ‘ribbon (discontinued)’, ‘daisy (5 petal)’, ‘daisy (4 petal with stem)’ and the flowers from the sunshine gift set. The small bottlecaps die would work instead of the ribbon die.

White stitches were drawn around the edge of the flowers. The larger flowers were trimmed to have a flat edge and mounted against the ‘ribbon’, the others were placed on some using 3d foam.

The thanks rub-on from the icing starter set was positioned in the gap in the upper left of the card.

birthday flower basket

The basket was cut from a dark brown card using the Quickutz basket die. This was attached to a piece of cream card measuring 5 x 4 cm which was layered onto yellow and dusky red card measuing 5.5 x 4.5 cm and 6 x 5 cm respectively.

Flowers were cut in dusky red and yellow card using the Quickutz flower doodads die. A number of the flowers were placed ‘in’ the basket, with 5 remaining flowers forming a feature in the lower right hand corner of a 15 x 10.5 cm card.

The centers of the flowers were painted using a 3d metallic gel paint to add shine and texture to the card.

The basket was placed centrally in the upper portion of the card and the Papermania rub-on ‘Birthday fun’ was placed immediately below it.
