grown up card

I tried to get all grown up with my new found collection of distress inks and this is the result, a touch of colour from copics and lots of inking.

I've had these stamps ages, the tone on tone is an October Afternoon stamp, the others (trees & sentiments) Stampin' up

I've also used Lawn Fawn stitched leaves die, stitched scalloped borders

birthday rainbows

So that wibbly wobbly rainbow has now been used with my new Mama Elephant 'happy' & 'birthday' dies and I think it looks just swell :)

you're my superhero

The February challenge on Make the Day Special blog was a sketch, and when I saw it I almost instantly thought of this weird opening card.

I'm not entirely sure why this sketch inspired me to do this, but it seemed such a good idea at the time. I got all inky with my new distress inks and I even attempted to splash on some water.

I've used a few things from Make the Day Special (the place I get all my stamps :)) and I'm sure I'll be shopping there this weekend (new Lawn Fawn)

Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes stamps and dies
Paper Smooches Bam Bubble and Super 2 dies

Edited to add: This won the MTDS challenge :)

tiny valentine's super heroes

So this is my first Mama Elephant stamp set and so far I love it, it was a little delicate to colour but he just looks so cute and I think the sentiment is adorable... The red and gold band is because after finishing the card I dropped and ink pad :o so this was my 'quick fix'

critters in my dreams

I've been inspired, just by pretty clean & simple cards, I've also been inspired by two colour sentiments and my new copics and this is what I came up with, my first attempt at partial die cutting and I'm quite pleased with it :)

lawnscaping 99

This card has been made for Lawnscaping Challenge 99, which is all about the clean and simple. I'm all about the ink blending right now after making the stamped backgrounds for Lawnscaping 98.

Clean and simple is definitely my natural style so this one was easy for me, but I wanted to mix it up and try some new things for me, like the white colouring on top of my copics (not a big thing but new for me).

cas(e) this sketch #109

I've made an unofficial resolution to use each of the stamps I own at least once this year, this then justifies my buying more :D

After seeing the CAS(E) sketch #109 I knew which of the stamps sets I wanted to use, I dug out some old stripy paper (seriously this stuff is at least 9 years old) for the strip at the side then attempted to colour using my copics to match the stripes.

This is the result... cute I think :)

worshipping at the alter of small gods

More from that long lost card kit, I'm quite chuffed with the results... especially at 8:42 s to completion :)

the small god of forgotten things

I've been reminded of hogfather a little bit, with the idea of a small god of forgotten things (much nicer than an oh god of hangovers...) when unpacking some of my boxes I found most of the supplies on this card. The big star sequins and sentiment were all from a card kit I got nearly 10 years ago, now at last they have been used, along with a piece of patterned paper free off a magazine...
